The Navy buys training mines

84 arsenal of mine and torpedo weapons of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine buys training and operating sea mines KPM (product 342) and (product 730). This was reported by the Ukrainian military portal with reference to the relevant tender in the public procurement system Prozorro. Training and operating naval anti-aircraft mines of the KPM type (product 342) and naval anchor mines of the YAM type (product 730) were ordered from LLC SPE “TECHNOCLASTER” in the amount of UAH 6,319,999.92.The supplier was chosen due to the lack of competition and according to the Certificate provided by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine dated 09.04.2020 №998 / 08.0-7.3 is the only manufacturer of these products in Ukraine. In total, by November 30, 2020, SPE “TECHNOCLASTER” LLC must deliver 10 units of training and operating naval anti-aircraft mines of the KPM type (product 342) and the same number of YM-type sea anchor mines (product 730).Training and operating sea mines were used by the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during recent exercises in the waters of the Sea of ​​Azov. Then, during the exercises, the crew of the small armored artillery boat “Lubny” practiced a practical exercise of loading naval bottom mines on the ship, securing their deck and bringing the combat unit of mines to readiness.Earlier, the same company supplied a simulator for the 198th Training Center of the Ukrainian Navy for a training class for operators of sonar stations in the amount of 1.46 million hryvnias. In October 2019, it became known that the Military Prosecutor’s Office suspects abuse by officials of 84 arsenal of mine and torpedo weapons of the Ukrainian Navy, in the interests of the private company “Research and Production Company” Techimpex “in the purchase of repair services for torpedoes SET-65According to the investigation, Techimpex allegedly did not have the appropriate specialists and facilities to repair mine and torpedo weapons and performed it poorly.
